EA reveals more than 30 PS3 titles in development

posted by rohit at 2006-10-20 14:09:53 EA reveals more than 30 PS3 titles in developmentgamesindustry.biz Electronic Arts has pledged strong support for Sony's PlayStation 3, by revealing it has over 30 titles currently in development for the next-generation system.

The world's largest third-party publisher hopes to release between eight and ten titles by the end of March 2007, including franchise favourites Need for Speed Carbon, Fight Night and the recently announced Def Jam: Icon.

"Each game has been custom designed to leverage the hardware power of the PlayStation 3 and serve as a launch pad for EA's next generation of HD gaming," said Paul Lee, president of EA Studios.

"This is only the beginning. In the months and years to come, developers will take greater advantage of the PlayStation 3's Cell processors and Blu-Ray storage capacity to create games of stunning depth and texture," he added.

Currently, EA has announced the following PS3 games (listed alphabetically):
