Well it's nothing new in Japan at least. A survey, which used a sample of 1,000 internet users between the ages 10 and 59, intended to gauge the level of interest of Japanese gaming consumers in the upcoming next-generation consoles. The results of the survey revealed an overwhelming preference for the PlayStation 3 with 60% of the respondents indicating a preference for the Sony PS3 offering.
An overwhelming 60 percent of respondents said that they would be most interested in the PlayStation 3. By comparison, only 8 percent of survey participants answered that they are interested in the Nintendo Revolution and an even smaller 2 percent said they are looking forward to Xbox 360. When breaking it down by age group, the survey found that people in their 20s were more excited by the PS3, while people in their 30s were more interested in the Revolution.
